George Argyris is a graduate student in distance education (M.Ed.) at Athabasca University. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Greek philology and works as a secondary teacher of Greek and Latin literature. In 2012 he participated in the workshop “Teaching practicum in the School of Philosophy: Necessity, structure, concerns, and potential’’ organized by the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies, University of Crete; in which he delivered a presentation titled “Teaching practicum: Benefits and concerns’’. His current research interests focus on the teaching of Classics, computer-assisted and mobile-assisted language learning, MOOCs, teacher education, curriculum studies, and distance learning.
